In 2013, a year after the opening of Raffles Makati, we started our Authors-in-Residence programme in partnership with the National Bookstore. The hotel has since played host to some of today's bestselling authors, including Mitch Albom, Amy Tan, Matthew Quick, Pulitzer-winning Adam Johnson, Chang-rae Lee and Ransom Riggs. In 2014 we hosted the first Philippine Readers and Writers Festival, a three-day celebration of the written word.
